The incident occurred when the boat crashed into a dock near 4039 Bayshore Boulevard Northeast. Both victims, aged 15, sustained critical injuries, with one in stable condition and the other in unstable condition after being found in the water by a bystander.
Neighbors rushed to assist the teens after the crash. The teenagers were on a Key West 18-foot center console boat with a single motor, which ended up near another dock with damage to the front end.
Authorities, including the St. Petersburg Police Department, St. Pete Fire Rescue, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, are investigating the incident. Further details have not been disclosed at this time.
